Who can forget those wonderful, rollicking cartoon shorts of the 30's and 40's? Nowadays they're all done on computers, but back in those halcyon times they were hand-crafted in latex on celluloid, by legions of skilled artisans, using live models.

Well, those models are obsolete now, but they're still around.

My Dad

Let me introduce my dad. He aspired to be a cartoonist when he was a young man, and developed a good deal of skill at it. Though he only published a couple of panel cartoons, he continued scribbling long into adulthood, which in turn inspired me in this humble effort.

I think he had a good design sense. Here’s a piece he did as a teen:
